These terms are a binding agreement between you and Listro Tech ("Listro", "we"), covering the Listro website and apps. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Listro.
Effective 19 July 2026 · These documents are published in English only. Translations may be provided for convenience, but the English text governs.
1. What Listro is — and is not
Listro is an online marketplace that lets buyers and sellers find each other. We are an intermediary under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000. We do not own, inspect, warehouse, sell, or deliver the items listed, and we are not a party to any sale. Contracts of sale are formed directly between buyer and seller, on terms they agree between themselves. Verification badges, trust scores and quality checks are signals to help you judge a counterparty — they are not a guarantee of any item, person, or transaction.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter contracts. Accounts are personal: one account per person, registered to a phone number you control. You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping access to your number secure. Do not share, sell or transfer your account. We may require identity verification (KYC) before you can list, transact, or withdraw value, and may limit accounts that decline it.
3. Listing rules
You may only list items you own or are authorised to sell, that are legal to sell, and that you can actually supply. Listings must use your own genuine photos and an accurate description, category, condition and price. Prohibited items — including weapons, drugs, live animals, counterfeits, stolen goods, recalled products, adult content, and anything otherwise unlawful — are covered by our Community Guidelines, which form part of these terms. We may edit, de-rank, or remove any listing, and may refuse service, at our discretion where these rules or the law are not met.
4. Dealing with other users
Meet in public places, inspect goods before paying, and use the in-app chat so there is a record. Listro does not hold funds, escrow payments, or process payments between buyer and seller for item purchases — money moves directly between you. We will never ask you for an OTP, PIN or password. Off-platform payments made in advance are the highest-risk thing you can do on any marketplace, and are entirely at your own risk.
5. Paid plans, subscriptions and boosts
Some features — listing plans, subscriptions and boosts — are paid. Prices are shown inclusive of applicable taxes at the time of purchase. Recurring subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown until you cancel; you can cancel at any time from your billing page, and cancellation stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund the current period. Payments are processed by our payment partner; we do not store your full card details. Digital benefits that have already been delivered or consumed — a boost that has run, a plan period already used — are not refundable except where the law requires it or where we have failed to deliver the benefit.
6. Credits
Credits are a promotional balance we may grant — for example through referrals or campaigns. Credits are earned, not purchased. They have no cash value, are not legal tender, cannot be bought, sold, transferred or withdrawn, and cannot be exchanged for money. We may expire, adjust or revoke credits obtained through error, abuse, or breach of these terms.
7. Your content and the licence you give us
You keep ownership of the photos, text and other content you post. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the marketplace. This licence continues for content that remains visible — for example in an archived conversation or a sold listing — and ends for other content when you delete it, subject to the retention described in the Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the rights to everything you post.
8. Acceptable use
Do not scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data; circumvent rate limits or access controls; probe or attack the service; upload malware; impersonate anyone; manipulate ratings, reviews or search ranking; spam other users; or use the platform to launder money or evade sanctions. Automated access is permitted only with our written consent.
9. Suspension, removal and appeals
We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, the Community Guidelines, or the law — or where we reasonably believe there is fraud, safety risk, or harm to other users. Where practical we will tell you the reason. You can appeal any enforcement action from Help → Appeals, and we will review it.
10. Reporting unlawful content
You can report any listing, profile or message from the Report control on that item. As an intermediary we act on valid complaints and on orders from a court or authorised government agency, within the timelines the law requires. Complaints about content can also be sent to our Grievance Officer using the contact details in this document.
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that listings are accurate, that sellers or buyers will perform, that items are genuine or fit for any purpose, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Listro is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, goodwill or data. Because we are not a party to sales between users, we are not liable for the condition, legality, safety or delivery of any item, nor for a counterparty's conduct. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the three months before the claim, or INR 1,000.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Listro against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your content, your listings, your transactions with other users, or your breach of these terms or of applicable law.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and the law change. Material changes will be notified in-app or by a notice on this page before they take effect. The effective date at the top of this document tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use Listro after a change means you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the grievance process below, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India have exclusive jurisdiction. Please raise a grievance with us first — most issues are resolved that way.
16. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, the Grievance Officer is Hassain, reachable at legal@listro.in. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days of receipt. Registered office: [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS — TO BE SUPPLIED]. CIN: [CIN — TO BE SUPPLIED].
